I once had the grandiose idea that I would charge for the membership to the network. One day I might. But the main purpose of the network has always been to give the self-employed home services labor community a cohesive voice on the web.
So I am changing to a try it all for free model. I will leave the other literature in place for review as a goal down the road, and as a reminder that this site is not responsible for the relationships established through this site. Later when I reconsider, I will most likely rewrite all the membership info files and repost them as needed.
But right now, join and see where it takes you. Membership is free as long as there is no porn, threats, illegal activity, etc. I will not limit the time of membership. Stay around as long as you like.
If you see a use for the private network, I am offering free membership to all comers for now. Just let me know and I will send out an invite.
Again: The old terms of "join for a month, check it out and join the directory for a fee" are gone.
The new terms are join for free; let me know if you want to join the private network for 6 months free, small dues after that; let me know if you want to be listed iin the off-line directory for a $10.00 fee; let me know if I can assist you in designing your webpage and posting your information; let me know if I can assist you in monitoring your email (I can call you with messages).
Want to earn money on your page? If we charge a paid membership in the private network, then there will be a budget to pay for the privilege of posting ads on this site. It will require a monthly fee to Ning to make the site a paid business site, but would then allow the posting of affiliate banners. Interested in seeing how it works?
All of the message below is the old message and its links to the old concept that demanded a short free membership (now the membership is free for as long as you want) and the purchase of a directory membership that gave entry to the private network (now you can join the private network for free; directory listing is still fee-based).
