This is a call for articles that discuss the many on-line simulations, wikipedias, open source software, networks, informatics, widgets and gadgets, and webquests that can be harnessed for use in the classroom. Articles should provide some combination of links, suggestions, cautions, anecdotes if available, management suggestions, standards, objectives, and anything else a teacher might want to know.
Editor: Valerie Coskrey, secondary science teacher, of Multifacet Services.
Guest editors are welcome to begin screening for articles and authors to work with personally. Extra submissions can be considered for multiple ebooks. We can all work from one group initially, then split off into individual project groups as the logistics demand. Negotiations of copyright issues and actual article submissions should be made within a private group for the project(s).
Each project is responsible for how their ebook is marketed. Multifacet Services has resources that can be utilized; please ask about what Valerie can do for you.
Editors are encouraged to make a group for the projects they claim or join the group of a co-editor.
Although not necessary, all teacher-writers, editors, artists-illustrators and other participants are encouraged to join the group created by Valerie to jumpstart the projects called Classroom eBooks. All are also encouraged to join the Multifaceted eBooks to keep posted on Multifacet Policies and logistics for projects involving Valerie and Multifacet Services and to observe the pubic aspects of the model as it evolves.
