Rule:
Contracts are made between individuals and not this group. It is an individual's responsibility to know when one is making a contract, with whom, and for what terms, and contracts should be made in private communications by personal email, snail mail, or communications within private groups. Although statements made in the forum may be copied into the contract, the contract is a separate document from this forum and agreement must be made within said separate documents to be valid.

Rule:
Collaborations may occur without contracts as long as the project collaborators are comfortable doing so. Collaborators should at all times respect the ownership of copyright. Once the agreement is made to post an anthology online, and the anthology is posted, the copyright is shared by the writer and the anthology editor. Any and/or all collaborators may withdraw from the project, taking one's copyrighted items, up until (1) the point when the anthology is posted on-line for sell; or (2) an actual contract is in place.

Each project group is responsible for how its ebook is marketed and published. Just because the idea here is to make eBooks, there is no reason a quality ebook cannot be submitted for publication. After all, anthology editors and writers own the copyright of an anthology; and an author or artist owns his work until he contracts with another to share the copyright. In online collaborations, a statement of agreement passed from contractor to contractee and back again and statements of each party that agreement has been received seems to constitute a contract. All parties are responsible for the consequences of that contract and its fulfillment.

Neither Multifacet Services network at Ning or the company Multifacet Services that is a division of Multifacet Solutions, and neither Valerie Coskrey nor Multifacet Solutions are part of any contract made between editors and authors and artists, and any combination thereof, except for contracts made explicitly between the entity that goes by these names and individual artists, authors, and editors participating in a group project edited by Valerie Coskrey and any services contracted by the individual or project representative (usually the editor) as determined to be a service offered by Multifacet Services.

Use of this network does not constitute a contract with any of the entities of Multifacet Services. Membership in this network does not constitute a relationship with the entity Multifacet Services as an employee, subcontractor, contractor, client, employer, owner, partner or any other such contractual relationship, nor can you make agreements for the entities of Multifacet Services. You may encourage others to join, take the kinds of "ownership" of the Multifacet Services network at Ning that Ning allows to all its social network members, invite people into groups, join groups, make groups and use the network as your personal webpage, blog and forum resources.

Any group or project run from a private group by any member is solely the work of that member and his collaborators and all agreements are with that member--the group creator; except as the group creator and another member contracted with Multifacet Services to create and manage a group according to the NetworkSrub concept, wherein the contract between Valerie Coskrey of Multifacet Services and the member contracting Valerie Coskrey will specify the responsible parties for the various consequences of the project and its activities.

This group was created by Multifacet Services, but is not a project group. Joining this group is not the same as having a contract or other identity with the company and entities of Multifaceted Services a division of Multifacet Solutions, nor does membership here constitute a contract between you and Multifacet Services or its entities.

Joining this group, even at the invitation of an editor, writer, or author, does not constitute a contract between you and that editor, writer or author.

Contracts are made between those that agree to work together on a project. To safeguard contractual agreements and copyrights, specific projects should be situated within private groups.

Each editor, writer, artist and proofreader should decide for oneself what terms of agreement he is willing to work under and should negotiate these terms within the project setting. Potential terms of agreement from one's perspective may be posted in a public area such as in this group forum in the profile threads, in the network forums in the profile threads, or in one's My Page. Links to these terms should be placed in the other locations.

However you choose to place the terms (one's personal potential terms of service), a master copy of actual terms should be marked as such and other copies should be marked as copies. When modifications are made to your terms, the master copy should and must be the one changed. Dates modified should be posted on the master copy so that contractees and collaborators can know which rules apply to specific projects and negotiations. Changes can be made through edit or through comment, but when comments become too numerous to read easily, a rewriting of the master copy should replace the old copy.

How to make it work is a thread in the forum. It is a copy of the network forum thread(s), but in this case the members of this particular group will hash out the individual points and logistics to modify the plan so that it works for this group.
